SECOND OTTAWA CITY HALL IFTAR DINNER - JULY 18, 2013

On July 22, 2013, the 2nd Iftar dinner was held in the Jean Pigott Hall at the Ottawa City Hall, with Mayor Jim Watson as the Guest of Honour.  

Mr. Charles Coffey, O.C., was again the emcee for the evening.  The dinner was well attended by several members of the Diplomatic Corps, elected representatives from all levels of government, representatives from the Regional Police services, and members from the community. 

The event was supported by His Worship Mayor Jim Watson, Mr. Jeff Boyd - Regional President, Ontario North and East Region  RBC Royal Bank, Mr. Charles Coffey and by Mr. Moe Anwar, Investment Advisor- RBC Wealth Management- RBC Securities Inc. 

President Mobeen Khaja welcomed the guests and thanked the Mayor, Mr. Jeff Boyd, Mr. Charles Coffey  and Mr. Moe Anwar for their support.  The Mayor said that he is pleased that APMC will continue with this event as an annual one.

Some APMC members traveled from Toronto to be at this event.

Mr. Jeff Boyd brought greetings from the Royal Bank of Canada.  Hon. Yasir Naqvi, Minister of Labour, Govt. of Ontario, brought greetings from the Premier.
