TWENTIETH  ANNUAL CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS.

The 20th annual celebrations were  held again in Toronto at the Woodbine Banquet & Convention Centre Hall, 30 Vice Regent Boulevard June 29, 2018.

H. E. Tariq Azim Khan, High Commissioner of Pakistan, was the Keynote Speaker and Award Recipient and gave a very inspiring speech.  He was presented with Sandulak's polar bear sculpture and a plaque which had the following inscription: 'IN RECOGNITION OF YOUR OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS MINISTER, SENATOR AND HIGH COMMISSIONER AND YOUR PASSION TO MAKE THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN WITH ITS RICH CULTURE AND HISTORY BETTER UNDERSTOOD BY CANADIANS.'

APMC hosted a Canadian Citizenship Ceremony for the third time.  It was held before the event.  Some of the new citizens joined the Canada Day celebrations and were very happy to be invited to celebrate, participate and get an understanding of how great it is to be a Canadian regardless of one's faith or ethnic background.

Consul Generals of Turkey, Sri Lanka and Pakistan as well as two diplomats from U.S.A Consulate attended   .

Miss Yumna Siddiqui and Retired Chief Armand La Barge were the Masters of Ceremonies.

There were greetings from elected representatives, Heads of Police and Security Services and some prominent people.

Many thanks to Dr. Shan Chandrasekar and Mrs. Jaya Chandrasekar of Asian Television Network again for Media sponsorship.

We are also grateful to all those who sponsored tables.
