ANNUAL EID-UL-FITR DINNER - Mr. Firoz Rasul, National President for His Highness Prince Aga Khan Shia Imami Ismaili Council, was the Keynote Speaker. He was presented with a gift - a polar bear sculpture by Keith Sandulak. The Fitr Award, a beautiful plaque, was presented to Dr. Haroon Siddiqui, Editorial Page Editor Emeritus, Toronto Star, for his “Outstanding work on National and International matters and courageous stand on Islamic issues”. Hon. Senator Marcel Prud’homme and His Excellency Tariq Altaf, High Commissioner for Pakistan, were two special guests who came from Ottawa to attend. |
